Home Ownership Service - Right To Buy

The Right to Buy scheme gives you the opportunity to own your home. If you are a secure tenant of Ashfield District Council it is likely that you will have the Right to Buy the freehold or long leasehold of the home you live in. However, buying your home is likely to be one of the biggest decisions you will have to make. You need to think carefully before you buy, consider the cost implication of buying the property and whether it is suitable for your circumstances.

To apply to buy your home you will need to complete an application form (Form RTB1). The application form is available by:

On handing in the form you should obtain a receipt in order to provide proof, if necessary, that the Application Form has been received by the Council
