Where a landlord cannot be traced or constantly refuses to undertake action to bring an empty home back into use, the Council may consider using Compulsory Purchase powers. Properties which are Compulsory Purchased may be sold onto landlords who are registered on the Council's Opportunity Register (see menu). Where a property has been compulsory purchased the grant entitlement will be 65% grant, up to a maximum of £15,000.
