Free Swimming

In Ashfield the government's
two-year initiative is enhanced by the early introduction of free swimming for Ashfield residents 60 years of age or more
and is being promoted by Ashfield District Council and Sports and Leisure Management Ltd – who manage the council-owned
leisure centres on behalf of the council under the banner of Everyone Active.
Who can access free swimming and when?
Anyone aged 60 or over, and all children and young people aged up to 16, can enjoy free swimming in Ashfield's pools during public swim sessions.
How do I get a free swim?
You will need a valid Everyone Active card. Cards are free and are available from Ashfield leisure centres and pools. Application forms can be downloaded from www.everyoneactive.com or by visiting your local leisure centre. You will need to provide proof of your age.
Do I need to register?
You are encouraged to apply for your Everyone Active card so that you are able to make the most of this Government backed initiative.
When can I swim?
Free swimming is available during public swim sessions. Please note that public sessions vary from pool to pool so check beforehand. Pool timetables can be found on www.everyoneactive.com.

How long will the free swimming scheme last?
The Government initiative will run for two years ending on March 31st 2011.
