Refreshments and snacks are always available whilst the Centre is open, and seating is provided both in and outdoors giving you the ideal opportunity to rest and refresh before or after walking the trails.

A variety of exciting and interesting events, shows and exhibitions regularly take place at the Visitor Centre all year round.

The Centre is also available for public hire to hold meetings, events, exhibitions etc. Please enquire at the Centre for availability and current charges.

Help and advice is always available from one of the friendly volunteers, or trail warden, who staff the Centre seven days a week.

School parties are always made welcome at the centre, and are well catered for with specially prepared work packs for various age groups, and an extra information pack for teachers.

Guided walks are available on request, but booking is essential.

Wood SculptureThe Teversal Trails have transformed the trackbeds of former colliery railways to create a network of enchanting trails.

Part of the network has now been designated a Local Nature Reserve due to its valuable flora, fauna and geology.

The trails provide tranquil walks, some of which allow horse riding and cycling, all through beautiful countryside abundant with fascinating wildlife.

A number of circular walks have been devised incorporating some of the most interesting features in the area, including the Pleasley Pit Tip Nature Reserve.

Old Teversal is one of the most unspoilt villages in Nottinghamshire, and has connections with Lord Carnarvon of Tutankhamun fame, and DH Lawrence's novel "Lady Chatterley's Lover".
