Car Parks - Council

Ashfield District Council provide free parking facilities at the following locations:

Additionally, vehicles can be parked in-front of the Council Offices in Kirkby-in-Ashfield Monday to Saturday (inclusive), so long as vehicles are parked for no more than two hours continuously (return prohibited within two hours).

Ashfield District Council also operate twelve pay and display car-parks. The car-parks are banded into three types, depending on charge for length of stay, and hours of continuous parking allowed.

Season tickets are £50 per quarter.

The excess charge (ie failure to display a valid pay-and-display ticket) is £50. This is discounted to £25 if paid within 14 days.

There are no charges Sunday or Bank Holidays, Good Friday excepted (Except when Market Stalls are erected).

Car park

The classes of vehicle allowed to use these car-parks are: Motor cars and vans requiring a headroom of not more than 1.8m and being a vehicle with a carrying capacity not exceeding 15cwt.

All vehicles must be positioned wholly within a marked bay.

 Motorcycles and disabled persons' vehicles  may park within appropriately marked bays free of charge. Taxis may wait for fares in the taxi ranks free of charge.
