||Ashfield District Council have nine Taxi Ranks within its area.
They are situated at the following locations:
Sutton in Ashfield
- Market Street - On the left after the entrance to the shopping centre underground car park
- Fox Street - Adjacent to ASDA and Wetherspoons in the town centre
- Forest Street - Opposite the Crown and Woolpack Public House
- Iceland Car Park - At the side of the walkway from Priestic Road to ASDA
Kirkby-in-Ashfield
- Ellis Street - Outside the Shoe Shed
- Morley Street - Outside the Tanning Centre
- Co-op Car Park - On the exit road from the car park
Hucknall
- Market Place - Library side near to the pedestrian crossing
- Ogle Street - Outside Kitchen Creations
Ranks should be sited so that passenger safety is paramount and in order that passengers can alight and board the vehicles onto and from the footway on the nearside on the vehicle.
No vehicles other that Hackney Carriages (taxis) licensed with Ashfield District Council can stop on a taxi rank for any reason. The drivers of unlicensed taxis, or privately owned vehicles, found stopped or parked on any of Ashfield District Council taxi ranks are committing an offence and risk prosecution.
