•  Potholes, patching, drainage, resurfacing, fencing, barriers
•  Road marking / studs, trees, hedges, verges, emergency sweeping / repairs
•  Street lighting, road signs, signals, bus shelters
•  Winter maintenance: preventative salting, snow clearing, grit bins

Ashfield District Council also have agency responsibility for:

•  Highway comments on planning applications
•  Site supervision and adoption as Public Highway of private development infrastructure, public highway records
